My Packages
Reporting is one of my favorite jobs in my broadcast class. I am able to connect and learn new things from people with other interests. Along with reporting on events around our school, I recently have been focusing on stories outside of our schools sphere. Below, you will find some of my best work reporting in my community. National Dressage Federation Finals
Two seniors from my high school qualified to compete in the National Dressage Federation Finals in Lexington, Kentucky. I got footage from their barn and followed them through their daily routines. I interviewed both senior girls and learned about their journeys horseback riding and how thankful they were for the opportunity.
The Sidewalk Film Festival
The Sidewalk Film Festival celebrated its 25th anniversary this past year. I interviewed our critical films teacher, Matt Ferguson, who has been a part of the festival in the past to learn more about the event. I went downtown Birmingham to get footage of the different venues, including the well-known Alabama and Lyric Theatres.
Library Flooding
Over last summer, the O'Neal Public Library was shut down due to a pipe burst. I interviewed Lindsy Gardner, the library director, about how she and the library crew quickly mitigated the damage.
