I joined my schools broadcast team in my sophomore year of high school. With no prior experiences working in a media class,  I was happy to quickly discover my love for the course.

As a member of my school’s broadcast team, Spartan 2 News, I have found an outlet where I can express my creativity through editing videos, and I have enjoyed covering activities throughout my school and community.

Working in the team, work-like environment has been one of my favorite aspects of the course. Being a leader on the broadcast team has forced me to keep up with what’s going on in athletics, the drama department, special education, and with our faculty. I've enjoyed being plugged into the school and community by listening and learning from people outside my own spheres of interest.

That desire and obligation to belong and branch has motivated me to study journalism in college, along with my other passions, including music education and french horn performance.
